Department Summary

The technology team Operations Metric Portal(OMP) is an internal web application. It provides a metrics central data repository, with an expandable, open database that will allow flexible reporting to meet the requirements across all lines of business, satisfying management reporting needs. This application is aligned under Rick Carey’s Architecture and Delivery Services Organization within Corporate Technology.

 

Position Summary

 

The QA test analyst is responsible for the analysis, scoping and execution for the QA testing phases of a technology project for OMP in APAC and responsible for producing the QA testing deliverables (including Test Strategy, Test Plans, Test Script Matrices, Test Execution Schedules, Progress and Test Summary Reporting) to professional standards.
The QA test analyst will be assigned to different projects by the Application Developer manager. It is expected that the QA test analyst will be assigned to more than 1 testing project at a given time.
At a minimum, the QA analyst will need to be involved in the System/Technical Specification development phase of a project (includes both functional and non-functional requirements).  The QA testing project will commence at this point with the production of the high level deliverables/estimates.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Production/delivery and management/maintenance of QA testing deliverables/test assets (including Test Strategies, Test Plans, Execution Schedules).
  • Analysis, scoping,  planning and execution of the QA testing phases for technology projects.
  • Input/review of Functional Specification, System Design and System Specification documentation.
  • First level analysis for problems in test environment setup or test execution
  • Defect management/tracking to completion
  • Maintenance/Support of the QA testing environments.
  • Ability to work as part of the QA team and share knowledge and experience.
  • Ability to work with developers, business analysts, project managers and business users on a project by project basis.
  • Contribute in QA and test process enhancement initiatives

 

Minimum of 5 years of experience with the following:

  • Testing techniques to include functional, regression, and system testing
  • Testing of Web applications
  • Creating test strategies and test case development
  • Planning and coordinating test activities
  • Test case development and defect resolution
  • JIRA and/or HP’s Application Lifecycle Management
  • Hands on with test automation tools/frameworks
  • Experience/understanding of business requirements and priorities.
