The Home Lending Operations Command Center BI Analyst is responsible for supporting executives and management in key decision making through the use of data and analysis, dashboards, and reporting within Home Lending (Originations) and in partnership with other JPMC lines of business. While this role will rely heavily on analytics to identify opportunities and improve operations, it is not focused on the technical generation of reporting. The Analyst will serve as a senior advisor to leadership improving operations. Successful candidates can tell a story, see behaviors, and design intuitive presentations utilizing data from multiple sources. These analysts provide decision makers with insights and analysis critical for the success of the business.
The Home Lending Operations Command Center BI Analyst will partner with Sr. leaders responsible for specific parts of the operation (Sales, Ops, Underwriting, Closing, Other) and provide analysis to that portion of the operation. They will support national views escalating specific issues and successes from within the specialties. They will also support Process Engineering in process flow analytics and re-engineering efforts.
Participates in the development of goals and execution of strategies within a function or department
Leads/ coordinates aligned or directly managed resources
Responsible for decisions that are guided by policies or established practices and that generally will have limited impact on company revenues/assets
In an individual contributor role, functions as a lead contributor with advanced knowledge of area of specialization and significant exposure to broad department activities
Gathers, inputs and manipulates data for routine/standard business and/or financial analysis and reporting purposes
Validates accuracy of data and assists with report preparation
Helps solve problems and may distribute reports to internal and external audiences
May manage employees and/or managers
  • Strong business knowledge in the Mortgage Originations industry
  • Strong technical skills in Excel with knowledge of SQL, Alteryx, and Tableau required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with a variety of individuals, departments and organizations
  • Highly motivated self starter
  • Critical and analytical thinking
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and remotely, managing shifting priorities and projects
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to maintain detail focus and retain big picture perspective
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, MIS or related field preferred
  • Mortgage experience
