The Core Foundational Services (CFS) organization within GTI provides consistent, standardized, cost effective naming, monitoring, configuration and authentication solutions for the Firm in an integrated way which are utilized by all Global Technology Infrastructure services.
Responsibilities
 
JP Morgan Chase is seeking a Solution Architect and Team Lead who will jump right into hands-on development while leading a team of developers for platforms.
  • Partner with supporting developer leads to develop realistic and achievable project estimates
  • Work with business to create business specification documentation
  • Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
  • Release management and associated change controls associated with it
  • Robust delivery of process improvements and code into the production environment with zero tolerance for post implementation issues
  • Take part in decisions affecting long range organizational goals & strategic planning.
  • Delivery of infrastructure and software fixes on time and on budget, based on original scope & requirement mandates
  • Participate in a continuous infrastructure improvement program by analyzing and remediating platform problems
  • Work with internal audit and business teams to close application and infrastructure control gaps
  • Understanding Business/Audit Requirements and designing new modules/functionality to meet those needs
Qualifications and Skills 
  • 5+ years Java and Spring Boot experience
  • 2+ years functioning in a team lead role
  • Experience in a variety of relevant technologies including SQL, Java, Spring. REST, Angular
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Highly motivated, curious, capable and a lifetime learner
  • Experience with the following technologies:  Java, JSP, JavaScript, Spring (Core and Web), and Oracle.
  • Hands on experience with RESTful Services, Spring, Hibernate, Tomcat, GIT.
  • Desirable but not essential: MicroServices, SOA, Jenkins; Continuous Integration/Deployment.
  • Oracle Database skills including experience writing stored procedures and performance optimization.
  • Intermediate to expert level knowledge of Unix shell and shell scripting.
  • Intermediate to expert level knowledge of open source web technologies like Apache, Tomcat, Spring, Hibernate etc.
  • Experience working with Maven, Sonar, Jenkins, Git/Subversion etc.
  • Experience working with open source frameworks – Spring, JDBC, Hibernate/JPA etc.
  • Experience working on UI tools – Angular JS, JQuery, HTML/JavaScript.
  • Experience with RESTful web services
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Ability to work on their own with a distributed team i.e. physically located in other regions
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders in business, operations, operate etc.
  • Knowledge and experience around DNS, DHCP or IP management is highly desired.
