This position is primarily responsible for gathering, interpreting, and managing reporting requirements for external regulatory (FRB, OCC, etc.). The position will be responsible for the relationship with line of business partners to understand and document requirements for external information. You will interact with the line of business requester, the applicable operational representatives and various project team members (Data Stewards, MIS and IT) in order to create and analyze external reports within Mortgage Banking.  Additionally, the individual will be required to understand the Mortgage Banking business as well as regulatory requirements in order to effectively evaluate and analyze the data included in the reports in relation to the business results and other externally reported information. 

 

Supports Mortgage Banking CCAR Y-14M monthly reporting. 

  • Liaise closely with the production reporting team
  • Develop appropriate management reports and analysis to drive business results
  • Comfortable analyzing large data sets and conducting root cause analysis to understand and remediate reporting anomalies
  • Responsible for detailed documentation of Requirements/Requirement interpretation
  • Conduct data research to triage issues, identify root cause and recommend solutions to fix data defects
  • Work with other teams  (IT, Data Stewards, Finance & Risk etc.) to identify data issues and improve data quality for CCAR files and to effectively update logic during system conversions / decommissions as well as new acquisitions
  • Preparation of various reporting metrics for inclusion in presentations to Steering Committee and Management
  • Proficient in SQL
  • Strong communication skills across all levels of management
  • Strong judgment, professional maturity, personal integrity, strong work ethic, proactive and results-oriented, fact based, has the courage to ask the tough questions and challenge the status quo and manage multiple tasks simultaneously  
  • Works well in an ever-changing business environment   
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics   
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas), Word, and Power Point (required)
  • Mortgage Banking experience preferred
