The Senior Product Manager is a product owner responsible for shaping the strategic product roadmap, leading cross-functional work to coordinate development of industry-leading commerce product offerings, and managing the associated book of work. Specifically, this role is part of the Reporting Migration team and is focused on data analytics to support merchant services globally with a focus on client segmentation for merchant migrations from legacy to target reporting platforms.
 
 
This highly collaborative position requires an individual who has demonstrable data management and leadership skills. The ideal candidate understands that product management is cross-functional and involves strategic thinking, market research, client interaction, architecture, technology design, financial analysis, project management, resource planning and general awareness of goals versus constraints.
 
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Ensure needed system/data access to efficiently perform reporting & analytics
  • Ad hoc reporting & analysis as well as standard repeatable queries
  • Participate in projects (including merchant migrations, Data Lake) providing data & insights for successful completion
  • Represent projects during senior leadership meetings
  • Collaborate closely with other analytics teams across lines of business as well as Finance and other teams within Merchant Services.
  • Ensure maintenance of an ongoing product controls environment
 
Requirements:
 
  • BS or MS in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Economics, Math, Operations Research or Engineering preferred
  • Minimum 3 years experience in data mining and analysis in retail, direct marketing, or other consumer-oriented business with large customer databases
  • Prior experience working at a payments, or payment technology company is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills and hands on knowledge of SAS/ SQL/ ORACLE/ HADOOP programming
  • Ability to use business judgment to guide analysis, draws implications from analysis, and synthesize into clear communications
  • Strong written and oral presentation skills, including the ability to convey complex information simply and clearly to senior business leaders
  • Strong influencing skills in working with internal as well as external individuals and organizations
  • Superior attention to details and process / project management skills
  • Experience with technical concepts and working with technical staff as needed
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint with exceptional deck building skillset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Access to analyze data and build financial scenario analysis
