Operations Overview


Operations are uniquely positioned at the heart of what we do. We impact the business we undertake from end to end - involved in almost all major steps of the transaction lifecycle as well as new initiatives (products and services) and vendor management. We work in collaboration with counterparts from all areas across Lines of Business, Technology, Finance and Corporate Functions. Operations teams are aligned to either products (Bonds, Equities, Foreign Exchange, Loans & Deposits, Alternatives, Derivatives and Mutual Funds) or processes (Income, Corporate Actions, Asset Transfers, Tax, Client Reporting and Data Management).

Key Responsibilities:


A variety of roles exist within the Middle Office to lead emerging groups in trade support related activities.


Some of the tasks performed and areas of responsibility for the manager role includes:


  • Staff management with project and problem analysis, effective communication with management onsite and in other locations
  • Represent the team(s) at various senior forums, locally and internationally.
  • Supervision of large or multiple teams with accountability for quality assurance, controls and people management
  • Continuous focus on optimizing efficiency and control by understanding, reviewing and implementing processes, systems and procedures in the context of a growing business with increasingly complex product offerings
  • As part of the Operations management team, candidate will be expected to provide coverage and assistance outside of their direct responsibilities 


What do we look for?


The candidate should have relevant management experience in a bank, fund administrator or financial institution at a management or team leadership level and now be looking to take on a new challenge in a growing, fast paced and ever changing environment.


Candidates should in addition have the following attributes:

  • People management experience (able to lead teams of more than 10 people) as well as teamwork skills
  • Wealth Management Operations experience or experience in leading Trade Support functions
  • Ability to make decisions with corporate perspective
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Analytical approach, imaginative flair
  • Control focus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong commitment and exceptional drive
  • High level of integrity
  • Knowledge of the various financial regulatory requirements a plus
