The Service and Operations technology group within Global Wealth Management is looking for an application developer / analyst to become part of our global technology team. In this role, you will design, develop, code, test, debug and document programming applications to satisfy requirements. You will work closely with business analysts and other developers. You will research and evaluate alternative solutions and make recommendations. You will work closely with internal technical team(s) during the build and testing phases of the project as well as during the support of the production implementation.

Key Responsibilities:
•Partner heavily with technology partners, including business analysts, release management, infrastructure, and other developers, at all levels
•Utilize Agile methodology and adhere to coding standards, procedures and techniques while contributing to the technical code documentation
•Provide high quality technology solutions that address business needs developing applications within mature technology environments.
•Lead a team of onshore and offshore technology resources to execute a project
•Drive brainstorm and design sessions with multiple tech and business stake holders
•Implement JPMC DRIVE tool set
•Architect Design, develop, code, test, debug and document software components
•Review design and functional specification prepared by other team members
•Manage code quality for total build effort.
•Coordinate with end users during User Acceptance Testing
•Analyze and document problems, recommend solutions, and initiate corrective action.
•Lead and manage production rollouts of the functionality on-site by partnering closely with the Operate team

  • 8+ years of combined development experience in Core  Java, UI JavaScript Frameworks ( ExtJs, AngularJS), HTML5,  Spring, Restful Services, MQ, and Unix
  • Experience with Architecture Design tools and patterns.
  • Knowledge of integration services, BPM, vendor integration, entitlements, reporting platforms, rules engines etc..
  • 8+ years of strong Relational DB experience Sybase, Oracle or MS-SQL (MS-SQL will be a plus & SQL for writing queries & stored procedures
  • 3+ years of experience with testing frameworks such as Junit, Cucumber, etc.
  • Knowledge of standard build and deployment tools such as Eclipse, Intellij, SVN, GIT/Stash, Maven, Grunt.
  • 5+ years of Agile implementation
  • 8+ years of experience in leading challenging and complex projects involving multiple stake holders
  • Good understanding of Object Oriented & component based software development and experience using design patterns
  • Must have excellent analytical, management, technical and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate the team, mentor team members, and coach team members to achieve project’s goals and objectives.
  • Self-motivated team player.  Must possess the ability to research and resolve issues independently while working across teams to acquire needed information
  • Ability to organize/manage multiple priorities and projects coupled with the flexibility to adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or analytical field with preferred focus on Computer Science or Information Systems
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry
