Within Chase, Consumer Banking provides great products and an outstanding customer experience at over 5,600 branches and 18,700 ATMs in 23 states, as well as online and over the phone.
The Data Ecosystem organization is responsible for building the strategic, analytic data warehouse for Chase Financial Services and managing the Integrated Consumer Data Warehouse (ICDW), Consumer Data Hub (Info1) , and legacy Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) data warehouses. DM&A also provides direction for large data warehouses across the firm.
This position require very strong Oracle background and the selected person not only has been a hands-on DBA but also can lead a team of DBAs.
Analyzes, designs, installs, configures, implements and supports Database Management systems (distributed, midrange, mainframe) in support of information technology requirements; includes development of logical and physical data models, data repository interfaces and database dictionaries.
Primary duty includes: Database Administration, Planning, Programming and Modeling, Architect, design and configure large, complex databases with replication and multi-node configurations on distributed, midrange, or mainframe platform.
Prioritizes, scopes, estimates and manages the team(s) responsible for the database administration or data administration.
Develops comprehensive DB architecture, implementation/upgrade plan.
Assists in the defining of database standards, policies and procedure.
Leads design reviews.
High proficiency in database and/or SQL analysis and tuning.
Ensures all productions changes are made in accordance with lifecycle methodology and risk guidelines and data management policies.
Oversees activities related to database administration that are running the daily operation of the firm.
More than 10 years of experience architecting advanced, strategic Oracle solutions, supporting development and/or production of large scale, complex distributed, midrange, and/or mainframe environments, developing and managing execution of DB implementation/upgrade.
Strong experience in evaluating tools and performs database performance monitoring, analysis and recommendations.
Strong experience defining database standards, policies and procedures and data governance discipline.
Strong ability to perform data modeling and define data entities and attributes of large scale, complex business application data.
Should be highly effective at facilitation of data requirements sessions for complex applications.
One or more of the following skills: Strategic Planning, People Management, Project Management, Incident Management, LOB Management, Business Management, Risk and Control Management, Database Administration Management.
Experience with People management as well as team budget. Implement automation, efficiency and productivity savings.
Prior experience recruiting, coaching and mentoring team members.
