The Risk Analyst in the Chase Auto Finance Risk Strategic Analytics Group will be part of a team responsible for preparing regulatory and non-regulatory executive presentations and reporting while monitoring key risk indicators (KRI) through proactive Risk Management principles and providing insights into the health of the portfolio.  The responsibilities of this position include: Coordinate, collate and analyze Chase Auto Finance Risk Management executive presentations and reporting; ensuring to meet all deliverables in a timely fashion.  Conduct strategic analysis on tight timelines to deepen the understanding of business/risk strategy and recommend changes as appropriate. This role will require frequent interaction and communication with cross-function partners. The successful candidate will excel at creative thinking, problem solving, be detail oriented, self-motivated, confident and ready to work in a fast-paced environment.

 

Expectations for this individual include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Utilize a strong technical, analytical skillset (SAS, SQL) to navigate multiple databases in order to extract the data necessary to perform complex analyses and reporting.
  • Interact and effectively communicate with a variety of technical and non-technical team members to ultimately provide insightful analysis and convey findings in a clear and succinct manner.
  • Interprets results and recommends solutions to mitigate risk, reduce expense, increase revenue, and improve operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Economics or Computer Sciences with 2+ years related industry experience.
  • At least 1-2 years of risk analytical and execution experience; preferably in financial services industry.
  • Attention to details.
  • Highly motivated, confident, team player with strong problem solving skills.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and finding creative ways to enhance analytic capabilities while having a broad view of the business needs.
  • Strong Microsoft PowerPoint presentation skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills including macros, formulas and pivot tables.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, knowledge of SAS, SQL, MS Office, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in credit risk analysis in consumer credit or related field
