Duties: Perform low-level design, analysis, development, coding, unit testing, debugging, and documentation for Visual C++ programs. Adhere to company's software development process in order to satisfy business requirements for large, complex projects. Use object oriented methodology to design programs. Perform peer code reviews to maintain code quality. Perform automated unit testing and test driven development. Keep abreast of latest developments in C++ and open source technologies; share knowledge with the team and propose adoption of new technology. Participate in cross-functional development and integration projects, interacting with end-users and external technology clients. Assist and support other teams including quality assurance (QA), business systems analysis (BSA), and production support. Debug and fix defects. Support application in production, and timely resolve production issues to minimize the customer impacts. Identify and help implement process, tool, and application maintenance improvements.
Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience as Software Developer/Engineer, System Analyst, IT/Software Associate, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience as Software Developer/Engineer, System Analyst, IT/Software Associate, or related occupation in lieu of a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of experience.

Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with all of the following skills: design and development with C++; client server applications using Visual C++; developing rich GUI applications using Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC); creating components using COM, ATL, and STL; Object Oriented (OO) methodology and design using UML; developing Call Center customer-contacting applications using dialer technologies such as MOCA or Aspect Dialers; using client server database connectivity using ODBC API; PL/SQL; and using Oracle or DB2 relational databases.
