Duties: Provide high quality technology solutions that address business needs by developing applications within mature technology environments. Work closely with a team of service delivery managers and application support teams for development requirements. Responsible for building new database objects, tuning SQL Code, extracting data from multiple sources and normalizing into data warehouse structure for presentation through multiple solutions. Create logical and physical database designs that support client and business objectives. Support and monitor creation of physical data models. Analyze content and quality of databases and provide data normalization approaches. Work closely with Information, Application and Technology Architects to analyze the impact of proposed information and data architecture. Develop solutions via various databases and software programming. Responsible for performance tuning, processing large volumes of data. Participate in sessions with business analysts and team members to analyze business requirements and outline the proposed IT solution. Oversee the planning, execution and technical quality of data related projects and sub-projects.  Analyze execution plans,  provide project estimates and custom coding ETL development using Oracle SQL, Oracle PL/SQL and BASH scripts. Participate in design reviews and provide input to design recommendations, incorporate security requirements into design, provide input to information and data flow, and understand and comply with project life cycle methodology in all planning steps. Document detailed application specifications, translate technical requirements into programmed application modules, and develop and enhance software application modules.

Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, or related field plus three (3) years of experience in all phases of the software development process or related experience OR Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, or related field plus seven (7) years of experience in all phases of the software development process or related experience.

 

*Skills required: Database Modelling experience. Database Design experience. Oracle Application Development experience. Informatica 9.5 experience. Coding experience in Informatica and Oracle. SAP Business Objects Reports Development experience. Java and Python Object Oriented Programming experience. Financial Domain knowledge. Database and Query Performance Optimization experience. Experience with HDFS, Hbase, and Scala. Experience with Hive, Spark SQL, and Impala. Employer will accept any amount of professional experience with the required skills.
