Duties: Responsible for all aspects of delivery, from estimation, requirements, coding and code quality to deployment, as well as managing developer and business expectations. Responsible for writing mission-critical software in the core technologies such as: Java 1.8, Groovy, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, RESTful microservices, Apache Tomcat, Cassandra, Oracle, Gemfire distributed cache, GIT repository, Google Protocol Buffers binary message format. Responsible for architecture and development of Cloud Native micro-service applications using technologies such as Spring Cloud API, Netflix Eureka for Service discovery, Hystrix Circuit Breaker, Zuul, Cloud foundry and Amazon AWS API (EC2, ASG, Cloudformation). Develop batch scripts using Unix and Groovy Scripts. Develop Automated Unit Tests using Open Source Frameworks like Junit, Spock, Fitnesse, Mockito. Responsible for the development of Java enterprise integration architecture and best practices. Perform application design and reviews for numerous projects, build architecture design documents from business requirements, and oversee the development, code quality, and security of the application throughout the project life-cycle. This position does not supervise employees.

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Engineering (Any), or related field plus 5 years of Java/J2EE development experience, or related experience; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering (Any), or related field plus 7 years of Java/J2EE development experience, or related experience.

Skills required: Must have experience in Java, J2EE and Groovy Application Development. Must have experience in Spring Framework, Spring Boot, AngularJS. Must have experience in Continuous Integration and Delivery (Maven, Gradle, Jenkins). Must have experience in Cloud Technologies (Amazon Web Services -AWS, Netflix APIs). Must have experience in Micro-Service, Restful Service, XML, JSON, Google Protocol Buffers. Must have experience in Oracle, Cassandra and Hibernate. Must have experience in GIT and SVN Software Configuration Management (SCM). Must have experience in Apache Tomcat. Must have experience in Agile Methodology using Scrum and Kanban. Must have experience in Automated Unit Tests using Junit, Spock, Fitnesse and Mockito. Must have experience in micro-service cloud development. Employer will accept any amount of professional experience with the required skills.
