Duties: Analyze business requirements, outline proposed IT solutions, and develop high-quality applications that address business needs within mature technology environments. Participate in design reviews, provide input on design recommendations, and incorporate security requirements into design. Document detailed application specifications, translate technical requirements into programmed application modules, and develop and enhance software application modules. Utilize programming skills and contribute to the technical code base, adhering to coding standards, procedures, and techniques. Participate in code reviews, and ensure that all solutions are aligned to predefined architectural specifications. Identify and troubleshoot application code-related issues. Provide input on information/data flow. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members, and understand and comply with Project Life Cycle Methodology in all planning steps. Adhere to IT Control Policies throughout design, development and testing, and incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications. Review and provide feedback on any required final user documentation.
Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience as an IT Consultant, Programmer Analyst, System Analyst, Software Developer, or related occupation. Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience as an IT Consultant, Programmer Analyst, System Analyst, Software Developer, or related occupation will be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience.
Skills Required: Requires 3 years of experience with the following: hands-on software development in large, complex enterprise environments that deals with terabytes of data and in large-scale distributed technology projects built in JAVA/J2EE environment; server side development with J2EE or EJB's; PL/SQL with performance tuning; software development methodologies including Waterfall and Agile; and source management like GIT and Maven/ANT for build. Requires 2 years of experience with the following: Restful oriented Architecture(ROA); designing, developing, testing, quality assurance, and implementing financial software applications or systems; data analysis; Spring; Spring security; Object Oriented technologies; Hibernate; UNIX; and Job scheduling Perl scripts.
