Duties: Provide financial analysis on profit and loss statement, balance sheet, key metrics and headcount and consolidation of  Consumer & Community Banking results. Define and analyze the underlying drivers of the business, comparing results to budget/forecast and provide financial updates to CCB senior management and Corporate Planning and Analysis. Provide analytical support for earnings release, including preparing financial analysis data for talking points, analyst presentation materials and additional back up materials. Prepare financial analysis to support CCB CEO's presentations including internal presentations and external presentations given to investors (JPM Investor Day, analyst presentations etc. Work in ad hoc special financial projects as needed. Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) consists of six businesses, Consumer Banking, Business Banking, Mortgage Banking, Card Services, Merchant Services and Auto Finance. The CCB Planning and Analysis group reports to the CCB Chief Financial Officer and serves as an analytical resource to help senior executives understand and manage the financial profitability of the business. The group is responsible for monthly and quarterly forecast, earnings press release process, competitive analysis and annual budget/mid-year forecast reporting. In addition to supporting the CCB CFO, the team is responsible for material and analytics to support key strategic reviews and executive team business discussion at a CCB level.

Minimum education required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.


Minimum experience required: 3 years of experience in financial modeling, or related experience.


Skills required:  Must have experience with technical capabilities, including macros, Essbase queries, and data mining. Must have demonstrated knowledge of Financial Systems such as Essbase, ICE, other. Must have demonstrated knowledge of GAAP accounting rules. Must have experience synthesizing complex data. Must have experience with Forecasting, Planning & Reporting. Must have demonstrated knowledge of Consumer lending business. Must have demonstrated knowledge of statistical theory and applications such as VBA. Must have experience with Accounting and Management Information systems. Must have demonstrated Quantitative reasoning and problem solving skills. Must have experience with P&L Variance analysis to identify key drivers of business performance. Must have experience using Hyperion Essbase to access database of financial performance. Must have experience using MS Excel to create schedules, graphs and other analytical materials supporting business reporting. Must have experience writing macros to automate spreadsheet related tasks. Any amount of experience with the required skills is acceptable.
