Duties: Candidate will work with team to proactively improve key Mortgage Banking application metrics, such as up-time, application performance, time to issue resolution; time spent resolving incidents and other key operational SLAs. Candidate will have team engineer the solutions that will reduce manual work (TOIL) and improve on day to day tasks by adding automation to various processes. Candidate and team will investigate and resolve complex and multi-faceted issues, spanning the entire technology stack, which require effective collaboration across team and technology boundaries. Candidate will have team engineer & develop tools, operational enhancements and automated solutions in support of business critical customer facing SaaS applications and environments. Candidate will drive continuous improvement to supported mortgage applications, in areas such as monitoring, operational task automation, continuous integration, deployments and performance tuning. Collaborate and coordinate with software engineering and product management teams to improve operability and supportability of critical customer facing SaaS applications (DevOps). Maintain up-to-date documentation on deployments, processes and standard operating procedures/run-books. Support agile delivery of a growing portfolio of SaaS applications, product releases, infrastructure and optimizations in concert with development and QE teams. Report to Senior Management about Key Parameter Indicators and Other Details pertaining to Applications and Team that will be supported by the candidate. Responsible for understanding and Applying the ITIL or AGILE best Practice to the department. This position does not supervise employees.
Minimum education required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field.
Minimum experience required: 6 years of application development experience, or related experience. Employer will accept experience gained prior to the completion of a Bachelor’s degree.
Skills required: Must have demonstrated knowledge of Business Processing. Must have experience utilizing the following tools and technologies: .NET, Java, Shell Scripting, CHEF, AWS, ANSIBLE, DOCKERS, DEVOPS, APPDYNAMICS, SPLUNK, ITIL. Must have demonstrated knowledge of monitoring tools. Experience designing, deploying and maintaining monitoring solutions such as Splunk, Nagios. Must have experience with issue logging tools including Peregrine. Must have experience in finance and mortgage banking. Must have demonstrated knowledge of Application Support best practices. Experience deploying large-scale Internet hosted applications including deployment automation concepts. Experience with information management practices, such as thorough documentation, usage of wikis, blogs and other collaboration tools. Any amount of experience with the required skills is acceptable.
