In this role the Product Manager will be responsible for supporting the development of the product roadmap.  This individual will also drive the product commercialization strategy, manage competitive dynamics, provide subject matter expertise and serve as the market-facing conduit between external organizations and the internal product development organization and process inside Chase Merchant Services.
 
 
This position requires a collaborative individual capable of understanding and navigating the impact of new products, enhancements, and compliance mandate implications across multiple systems relative to the Mobile POS processing space in the payments industry.  The ideal person for this role is a one with a technical background who possesses a blend of business analysis and tactical execution skills and who can take input and guidance from a broad range of stakeholders and create technical requirements and documentation for the development teams.
 
 
 Responsibilities:
 
  • Create mockups and field level specifications when necessary to define specific reports, screens or other application functionality for the Mobile Hardware and software solution
  • Collaborate with Development, QA and other Product Managers on functional requirements, user needs and test scenarios
  • Ability to collaborate and implement business objectives and project deliverables across multiple application platforms
  • Define business rules and controls when necessary to support business processes
  • Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements
  • Define new business process or changes to existing business processes as necessary to support the integration of new products and services into our existing multi-platform business model
  • Recommend technical and process improvements where possible to improve the overall effectiveness or marketability of a product
  • Create new procedures when appropriate to improve operational proficiency
  • Provide on-going support to other departments as required
           
  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or related field
  • Minimum 5  years of product, project or related experience or equivalent experience in Technology and Product Management
  • Minimum 5 years Proven ability to work with Application Developers, QA
  • Minimum 3  years of Merchant Acquiring experience
  • Analysts, Security and other Product Managers
  • Knowledge and understanding of online credit card transaction authorization and back office clearing processing
  • Knowledge and understanding of credit/debit/EMV card processing, encryption, and tokenization methods
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with Agile development methology
  • Strong written skills required to write detailed Business and Technical requirements in addition to writing all post release technical implementation documentation
  • Strong and confident communication and organizational skills
  • An understanding of the software development cycle, product positioning, knowledge outside of the product function in the areas of finance, operations, etc.
  • Ability to organize/manage multiple priorities and projects with targeted deadlines
  • Self motivated team player
  • Must possess the ability to research and resolve issues independently while working across teams to acquire needed information
