Our Design Foundations team is looking for a UX Engineer to focus on tools for communicating design language, patterns and reusable code artifacts to the wider design team and other engineers. In this role, you will be in a key position to build new collaboration and communication capabilities for a growing, multi-faceted design team and influence the work of designers and engineers across the company. A deep knowledge of current and emerging web application technologies and a working knowledge of CMS implementations and native mobile development is necessary in this role to create web applications and other tools for designer-engineer communication.


You will need strong technical and communication skills along with a customer-centric point of view. The ability to work closely with UX designers, product, researchers, and other engineers to deliver a robust and scalable technology product is critical to your success in this role. UI/UX designers, business developers, graphics designers, user experience research, user strategy, project managers, innovationeers, copywriters and other creative professionals comprise the teams within the Digital Customer Experience organization (DCE). These professionals are responsible for delivering unique and innovative designs and experiences across multiple applications, products and payments offerings. Diverse backgrounds of the team range across design agencies, mobile handset manufacturers, financial institutions, mobile carriers, startups and content providers.


  • Work with designers and other engineers to build state-of-the-art web-based digital asset / content management systems and collaboration platforms.
  • Help define the best way to increase the visibility, usefulness and maintainability of design artifacts as well as UI component code artifacts.
  • Deliver both production-quality and proof-of-concept code in a variety of frameworks and tools.
  • Own the stability of shipped web applications.
  • Work with technical writers to create documentation and training resources


  • 3+ years of work experience building and shipping modern web applications and/or highly usable CMS implementations
  • Knowledge of design team techniques and tools such as Sketch, InVision, UXPin and others
  • Experience writing and releasing web UI code on top of Node, Python or other stacks connected to a Database
  • Experience with popular JavaScript applications frameworks (Angular, React), ES6 and CMS tools
  • Understanding of continuous integration principles, functional testing and source control using Git.
  • Strong DOM, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript skills
  • Experience working in an Agile development team
  • Knowledge of native mobile development best practices is a plus
  • Knowledge of Web Components and Shadow DOM preferred
  • History of success creating and deploying enterprise level software
