The Corporate Sector Planning & Analysis Group (P&A) supports the JPMorgan Chase Controller and CFO by providing pertinent and timely analysis of the financial performance of the Corporate Line of Business (LOB) and each of its business units. P&A prepares the Corporate LOB's quarterly Press Release package, quarterly 10Q, and annual 10K. The group is also responsible for leading the forecasting and budgeting processes, including providing guidance to the business units and reporting and analysis to Senior Management of the firm.
The Allocations Hub is a specialized function within Corporate Sector P&A which provides operational support, guidance, and oversight for the end-to-end expense allocation process. The team is comprised of Finance professionals in the United States and India who reach across the Corporate Sector to develop allocation strategies. Those strategies are then implemented via SAP-CO to distribute expenses out to the lines of business. On top of the operational functions, the team conducts ongoing analytics of allocated expenses and drivers.
The P&A Associate will assist the P&A Allocations team in various activities including:
Partner with Corporate P&A forecasting, reporting teams and allocation peers to support select corporate sector function's recurring monthly allocation process.
Prepare summary reporting focusing on select corporate sector functions and subsequent allocations to lines of business (LOB’s).
Provide robust reporting and analysis of allocation variances for function teams and LOB’s.
Provide Allocation support for formal planning cycles - Budget and Mid Year Forecast (MYF) including preparing presentation materials for reviews with LOB’s.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with P&A teams across the Firm to ensure their full understanding of allocations.
Partner with allocation team members in implementing automation strategies (dashboard automation, robotics, etc).
Document and maintain allocation metrics for select corporate functions.
