Global Compliance Operations is responsible for supporting and leading aspects of the firm's Anti-Money Laundering (AML) program. The team works closely with the AML Program Management Office, Global Financial Crimes Compliance and the enterprise-wide control program teams to identify, remediate and track issues, and develop controls to sustain improvements as they are made. The company's responsibilities related to Anti-Money Laundering span every business, function and region - and apply to every customer and client of the firm.
Data Management Operations (DMO) team supports the Client List Screening (CLS) team which focuses on Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) Sanctions and Know Your Customer (KYC) programs. DMO is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of data flowing to screening systems for Corporate Compliance Reporting, Surveillance and Monitoring. The DMO team partners globally with the following groups in support of this function:
Back Office and Middle Office Operations
LOB & Compliance Technology groups (Operate and AD).
Global Compliance Operations
Compliance & Project Management Office
Identify, analyze, and drive remediation for client data quality issues in partnership with various Line of Businesses
Data validations, reconciliation across inbound data feeds to identify Service Level Agreements (SLAs), complete impact assessment and remediate through the Defect Governance framework
Participate in a weekly Working Group to manage the priority and closures of data quality issues with input from AML Compliance, Client List Screening, AML Technology, various Line of Businesses and Reference Data Operations
Participate in UAT testing, review test scripts, and create business required documents (BRDs)
Produce weekly metrics for senior management
Update procedure documents and process flows
The Data Management Associate/Analyst is required to work within the NA team responsible for the Client List Screening pillar
Interpret data flows and communicate associated data quality issues to Technologists and Compliance personnel
1-3 years experience in financial services industry
Experience in an Operations environment (preferably with a focus on ensuring data quality)
Experience in defining/documenting new processes ensuring appropriate Controls framework
Experience in an end to end exception management process; preferably in resolving data quality issues
Effective analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication, influencing and relationship building skills.
Intermediate Excel skills required for data analysis (e.g. use of pivot tables and v-lookups)
Able to multi-task and meet deadlines in high-pressure environment while maintaining quality output
Accuracy and attention to detail
Knowledge of AML/KYC compliance including the USA Patriot Act, Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC and related AML regulations an advantage
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills with proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio
SQL experience an advantage
