Department Description:
 
The Global Financial Information Reporting Solutions (FIRS) provides accurate, complete and consistent data for aggregation and analysis by Internal Reporting and External Reporting consumers. FIRS also serves as the Business Architect for Finance, partnering with Technology and various Program Management teams to drive the Finance vision of the Finance & Risk Roadmap to fruition. Our goal is to continuously improve the reporting process through enhancements to the control environment and to improve the operating model.
 
The team is focused on implementing cost effective and quality driven staffing models, as well as standardizing and centralizing oversight and control. The FIRS team will help to define and deliver target end state operating model and technology requirements to strategically source data required for both internal and external reporting, and will also assist in positioning the firm to better respond to changing regulatory environments and internal demand requests by deploying change centrally versus de-centrally.     
 
 
Analyst Roles and Responsibilities:
 
  • Aggregating data submissions for various external disclosures from multiple lines of businesses for JPMorgan Chase & Co. and JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A., as well as other disclosures such as Call Report, FR Y-9C etc. and ensuring the completeness of those submissions
  • Ensuring data consistency across schedules
  • Understand and clearly communicate data collection requirements to the lines of businesses
  • Coordinating attestations with data submitters across schedules
  • Internal metrics reporting related to the processes managed
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts around data quality review and external reporting improvement projects

Qualifications and skill sets:
  • Graduate / Post Graduate in Accounting or Business/Finance related field
  • Knowledge of Financial Systems
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively in an independent setting as well as part of a Virtual/Global team
  • Self Starter with an ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment; including strong time-management and prioritization skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Responsive to a dynamic and constantly changing environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Application Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).
