Asset & Wealth Management Operations supports the JPMorgan Private Bank in JP Morgan’s Wealth Management line of business. The Private Bank is the world’s premier service provider for ultra and high net worth individuals.  Our goal is to help these affluent individuals across the globe optimize their wealth, after taxes and across generations.  Asset & Wealth Management Operations provides end-to-end support for all aspects of the client experience, working closely with client service, fiduciary, product specialty groups, third party vendors and other lines of businesses, project managers, technology support and development teams, as well as others globally within JP Morgan Chase.
 
Position Overview:
The Business Analyst within Wealth Management Operations is part of the Risk and Control team that supports the Credit Middle Office, Investments Middle Office, and Latin America Operations teams globally.  The Business Analyst will work closely with management, peers, and internal partners. 
 
A successful candidate will possess a high level of initiative, technical abilities, strong verbal and written communication skills, and be able to work independently to deliver a variety of recurring and ad hoc assignments.   This position is an individual contributor role and will be a VP or senior Associate level based on candidate qualifications.  Primary responsibility will be leading the firm-wide Office of Legal Obligations initiative for our business groups.   Information about program can be found on the Office of Legal Obligations (OLO) page on the Intranet.  The position will also have additional responsibilities overseeing various other control related activities.
The functional duties for this position include but are not limited to:
  • Managing the pipeline, inventory and workflow of new Obligations assigned to our businesses.
  • Coordination of Obligation review, mapping and documentation with the program team and business managers.
  • Updating and maintaining information in the Enterprise Library Application (ELA), spreadsheets and other databases where obligation reference data is stored.
  • Developing our business specific procedure and process flow.
  • Communicating program status and information regularly with our management team.
  • Oversight and governance of other control related activities possibly including but not limited to Third Party Oversight, Privacy, and Inter Affiliate Services.
     
 
 
Minimum education/licensing required: 
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field strongly preferred.  Compensating work experience will be considered.
  • FINRA Series 99 license required within 120 days for VP’s.

Minimum experience required: 

  • 5+ years of experience in financial services.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Business Analyst or comparable role.
  • Experience with Investments or Credit related products and functions, and Risk and Control management a plus.
     
Skills required: 
  • Ability to work independently to achieve objectives and balance multiple activities concurrently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Presentation creation and reporting skills required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint required.
  • Aptitude for developing and leveraging effective relationships.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Team player and adaptable to changing environment, with good interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated strong problem solving and decision making skills.
