The candidate will be responsible for leading all aspects of the acquisition marketing and developing and leading a branding and awareness strategy for the International Hotels Group (IHG) Co-brand credit card program.  This individual will be responsible for developing strategic marketing plans aimed at increasing new Customer acquisition, improving margins, and increasing program profitability.  InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG) is a collection of well established brands including Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Crowne Plaza and InterContinental.  
 
Description of Responsibilities: 
The team seeks a self-motivated person who has the combination of strategic marketing, analytical, relationship and leadership skills to effectively drive acquisition results across our consumer and business card products and effectively partner with IHG to accelerate growth and achieve goal alignment
  • Develop strategic vision, roadmaps, and marketing plans to aggressively penetrate the IHG Rewards Club membership base and drive new account generation for consumer and business card customers
  • Accelerate growth through innovative marketing ideas and new channel opportunities that create a point of differentiation for the IHG Rewards Club credit card
  • Develop and co-lead (with the partner) the mobile roadmap to develop and integrate digital strategies that deepen penetration and engagement in mobile channels (i.e., native app, etc.)
  • Develop and sell in a multi-year plan to build awareness of the cobrand credit card among IHG Rewards Club members through media, PR and social channels
  • Develop, test, and execute digital media buying strategies and determine KPIs to evaluate success
  • Partner with internal key stakeholders across the organization to build the business case and ensure inclusion in emerging strategies, channels & initiatives
  • Drive marketing strategy, develop operational efficiencies, ensure flawless execution, and deliver business results
  • Attract, retain, and develop talent to ensure key goals and objectives are met through effective people leadership

 

  • 10+ years relevant experience, strategic marketing experience is required, credit card specific experience is preferred 
  • Demonstrated cross-functional leadership, partnership, influencing, and creative problem solving skills
  • Results focused self-starter effective at prioritizing and managing multiple initiatives concurrently for both themselves and a team
  • Strong interpersonal effectiveness with ability to collaborate and work well with all levels of management and across organizational boundaries
  • Demonstrated ability to collaboratively lead and influence cross-functional teams
  • Ability to think analytically with an emphasis on creativity, manage complexity, and deal with ambiguity
  • Exceptional presentation skills with an ability to communicate messages clearly and concisely in both verbal and written communication
  • Demonstrated experience attracting customers in the digital marketplace and expertise in effectively marketing in social media channels
  • Proven ability to consistently deliver meaningful results
  • P&L management experience
  • Up to date with the latest marketing and media trends and provide POVs on the competitive marketplace
  • A strong communicator with strength of conviction and a client-centric view in all strategic thinking
  • Proven ability to attract and retain a high performing team
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
