We currently have an opening for Business Analyst in our Chicago location.  This position is for a BA/QA Analyst with plenty of opportunity to learn and grow into multiple disciplines within the development landscape.  The ideal candidate will perform the following:
  • Lead the requirements gathering process, translating business requirements into IT application and business process impacts.
  • Lead the QA automation effort, identify test scenarios and build a reliable automated test suite to support the application.
  • Assist team in understanding requirements, leading showcases, running training sessions, demos and documentation development.
  • Data analysis:  must be able to seek out new data sources and understand how data fits with existing data.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems or related field of study or equivalent relevant experience in software development.
  • Experience in systems development life cycle as well as experience in a fast paced agile environment.
  • Experience extracting business requirements via JAD sessions, interviews and specification by example.
  • Experience creating Functional Specifications, Process Flows, Use Cases and other analysis deliverables.
  • Experience creating and executing test scenarios and conditions.
  • Self-starting team player with excellent analytical, communication (both written and verbal) and problem-solving skills.

Additional Desired Experience:

  • Knowledge of lean and agile modeling techniques (use case diagrams, domain models, story mapping, etc.)
  • Experienced with product backlog refinement techniques
  • Proficient at developing a shared understanding across technology teams and business partners
  • 1-3 years, experience in Java, JavaScript and SQL, Oracle, XML, big data tools, Unix, Informatica, Selenium, Cucumber technologies is desired
  • Enterprise application development and design experience
  • Manages day to day individual workload
  • Interest in working with business partners to find innovative technology solutions
  • Experience in team collaboration
