Duties: Participate in the custom design and development to address any critical issues and enhancements without impacting other parts of the system. Ensure the application system is functioning smoothly by providing quick resolutions on production issues to the operate team including detailed steps for the same. Suggest and implement continuous improvements to the system in terms of Performance Improvements & System Stability. Collaborate with business teams in providing enhancements to support changes or new requirements in local regulations. Participate in guiding the Technology and Infrastructure Refresh of the supported application as required. Help with migration of the existing functionality and share the lessons learned for the strategic regulatory reporting solution being developed in the firm worldwide.

Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Applications, Computer Engineering, or related field of study and seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or seven (7) years of experience as a Software Developer or in a related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Applications, Computer Engineering, or related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience as a Software Developer or in a related occupation in lieu of Bachelor's degree and seven (7) years of experience. Experience may be gained pre- or post-Bachelor's degree.


Skills Required: This position requires five (5) years of experience with the following: SQL Server 2008; providing performance improvement of SQL Queries; database vertical and horizontal partitioning; back-up and restore process; maintenance activities such as index re-building and DBCC consistency check; implementing archiving solution for BAU databases which is 20+ TB in size; implementing reporting solutions using SSRS, SSIS, and SSAS components; .NET technologies like C# & ASP.NET, WCF, WPF, OOP, or Domain Driven Design; architecting web-based, desktop, and SOA enterprise solution using Design Patterns and industry-wide standard frameworks and tools; PERL programming for feed validation, consumption, and bulk load processing; priority SLAs for resolving production issues; Release Management activities; and corporate compliance domains: Regulatory Reporting, Disclosure Of Interests, Large Position , Sensitive Industries,  Market Data, Financial Instruments and Derivatives, EU Take Over Panel Reporting, and Anti-Money Laundering. This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: SQL Server 2012; implementing Crystal Reports user interfaces; Control-M & Autosys Schedulers packages; adding, removing, and updating jobs within the Schedulers; and confirming quantitative resources and predecessor and successor conditions.
