The Role
The Recovery & Resolution Planning Manager sits within the J.P.Morgan Bank Luxembourg S.A. (JPMBL) Finance team. It is in the context of the development of the Finance function to support the development of J.P. Morgan’s Luxembourg bank as a Significant Institution. It reports into the Senior Financial Officer. Key responsibilities of the role include:
  • Recovery & Resolution Planning for JPMBL
  • Input to Firmwide Recovery and Resolution Plans
  • Defining project scope, stakeholders, risks and issues
  • Drafting project plan and business requirements
  • Managing communication of status updates to stakeholders and Senior Management
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with stakeholders in the different businesses (e.g., Treasury Services, Investor Services) and functions (e.g., Legal, Tax, Finance, Operations, Risk, etc.)
  • Partnering with stakeholders to providing guidance and analysis, help identify, manage and escalate issues/risks/dependencies and facilitate communication across teams.
  • Coordinating working group meetings, setting the agenda, preparing meeting materials, documenting minutes and ensuring clear ownership of action items.
  • Ensuring proper governance is maintained around the delivery of R&R submissions. Establishing and facilitating forums for discussion of issues, progress and dependencies as and when needed, working in concert with the R&R and Capital Management leads.
  • Developing understanding of regulatory policies and assessing their impact
  • Working with regulators, and delivering multiple complex regulatory requirements to very tight deadlines, in cooperation with a number of stakeholders and contributors across the firm

Candidate skills profile
  • Fluency in English
  • Qualified accountant (ACMA, ACCA, ACA) / MBA / Masters in Finance
  • Knowledge/experience of banking finance & regulations are essential
  • Knowledge of capital planning, ICAAP, recovery & resolution requirements a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • 10+ years of accounting / financial experience
