Key Objective

Trade Product role
The candidate will be working closely with the Regional Trade Product Management to support product development and product management initiatives at country level. This role requires the ability to analyse key product data to ensure that Business is achieving its priorities, strategic goals and objectives. Ability to identify issues/gaps and initiate corrective action as required. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build solid relationships with our key business partners. Able to effectively prioritise against varying business demands and demonstrate delivery against multiple objectives. Additionally work with Sales functions and develop product expertise to be able to provide technical support and expertise on Traditional Trade and Supply Chain Finance Products.


Trade Advisory role
The candidate will contribute to the sales strategy and lead business development for supply chain finance and other trade complex deals. The Advisor will partner with Trade Sales and Corporate Bankers to support strategic trade discussions with a CFO or Treasurer, and functional departments within a client's organization. He/She will work with both clients and internal partners to drive the sales process forward, and provide oversight for the deal implementation.



Job Responsibilities

Trade Product
• In conjunction with the Regional Trade Product Management, develop product strategy (including market and competitor analysis) and involved in rolling out of regional and global initiatives in the country.
• Conduct new product development including implementing product extensions for current product offerings in light of evolving market trends, client requirements, geographic expansion and regulatory changes.
• Preparation of monthly business reports as required.
• Analyse market segmentation for sales process and client coverage
• Monitor and maintain marketing materials, sales presentations and product slip sheets.
• Support Trade Sales and Advisory in the preparation of RFP and RFI proposals.
• Conduct routine evaluation of revenue generation
• Interface with Sales/Bankers to provide product support for Trade Sales and other related sales functions
• Conduct training sessions for internal or external clients.
Trade Advisory
• Identify and qualify opportunities, support sales pitch, negotiate and close sales of complex supply chain finance solutions to GCB clients (for internal use)/ Fortune 500 organizations (for external use).
• Prepare presentation materials and RFP responses
• Work closely with key stakeholders including but not limited to Trade Product, Credit, Risk, Legal and Compliance. The person will manage deal structuring and internal approval process, prepare and negotiate term sheets, and drive deal implementation by collaborating with Trade Solutions Delivery team
• Identify opportunities to cross sell bank products, such as structured trade finance and other trade solutions.
 
 
Qualifications
• Good experience in Trade & Supply Chain Finance gained in a Product Management, Operations, Sales or Business Management role.
• Strong analytical and execution skills, project management and strategic planning skills
• Ability to develop product initiatives and marketing programme to support sales effort
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain close working relationships with Sales, Advisory, Legal, Compliance and Internal Stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and product profitability
• Must be conversant in English and Korean languages.
• Experience in handling documentation negotiation
• Excellent and efficient skills using PowerPoint and Excel
• Experience in commercial, corporate and/or transactional banking.
• Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently to deliver in a timely and accurate manner; strong attention to detail
