Management position responsible for all appraisal activities within a specific region. Ensures all internal appraisal production services are completed within expected service level agreements and meet the Bank’s quality standards. Manages State certified real estate appraisers and support staff. May manage operations supporting commercial staff appraisals, multi-family appraisals or both. Works independently to manage staff/teams and resolve issues within their region. Ensures compliance with the Bank’s appraisal policies, FIRREA, USPAP, and requirements of financial regulatory agencies. Keep current on local, regional, national and international events and trends that may have an impact on real estate values in markets assigned.


Reports to Real Estate Appraisal Manager Sr.


Strong communication skills. Strong independent decision making. Posses the significant analytical skills to manage in a highly technical department. Strong vendor management and oversight. Proven ability to manage across functions and work effectively with other leaders.


Promote a client and service-centered organization. Proactively address the needs of internal clients and external regulators

 


Bachelors or Masters degree required. State Certified General Appraiser License required. A minimum of 15 years experience appraising and/or reviewing appraisals of multi-family residential and/or commercial properties with management experience preferred. Experience managing an appraisal office or similar function in a corporate environment preferred. MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute preferred.
