Duties: Continuously improve build and deployment process through automation and architecture improvement. Write build and deployment scripts according to SCM standards for automating build and deployment process. Execute release builds and deployments for both Java and JavaScript applications to IST, QA, performance and production environments. Onboard new applications and perform knowledge transfer to development team on build and deploy process. Perform smoke/sanity tests in various test environments. Implement security measures for automation process. Perform DB Deployments and analyze the health of database servers. Analyze build and deployment infrastructure for hardware and software capacities and recommend improvements and immediate actions to management team. Research, experiment and recommend new tools, technologies and process. Coordinate with offshore team to cross-train team members located in geographically separated environment.

Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus two (2) years of experience in the job offered or two (2) years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, IT Consultant, Infrastructure Engineer/Specialist, or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires two (2) years of experience with: JACL and Jython scripting languages; automating builds by writing build scripts using build automation tools such as Ant or Maven; deploying code using deployment tools such as WebSphere, Apache Tomcat, or Adobe CQ; Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins or ARM; Linux and Windows system administration; working with code analysis tools like Black Duck or Fortify; troubleshooting  issues; and Shell, Perl and PowerShell scripting languages. This position requires one (1) year of experience with: developing standalone utility and web applications using Java; database tools such as IBM DB2 or MS SQL; administrate and use code management tools such as subversion, GIT, stash, or BitBucket; and developing plugins and standalone utilities using Groovy and Java.
