RFT Senior Software Engineer - .Net, SQL, Excel VBA

Description

 
Risk and Finance Technology (RFT) builds and supports the firm's financial infrastructure to ensure Finance professionals have access to the tools and information necessary to deliver and drive success. In partnership with Global Finance Operations, Corporate Systems Infrastructure (CSI), and others, we deliver solutions that meet the requirements of our key clients. RFT provides technology support for general ledger, profitability, cost allocations, treasury, accounts payable, reference data, project accounting and fixed assets, and reporting tools and the Risk applications.

Description:
The Treasury and Chief Investment Office manage the structural risk of the firm. Treasury focuses on funding the firm short team and managing the firm’s liquidity and CIO manages long term structural interest rate, credit, and foreign exchange risk. The CIO & Treasury Technology is part of a wider global team developing application software supporting these two businesses. The development team builds out and maintains application software to support key business functions across for portfolio management, middle office operations, and finance and risk groups.

Responsibilities:
- Application development, Testing, Deployment and on-going support.
- Transform the business requirements into technical design
- Implement unit / integration tests
- Provide status report for management
- Participate in code reviews to get your code reviewed and provide feedback to others
- Deliver easily maintainable, applications in the face of changing requirements
- Learn and follow the department wide release management and change management procedures
- Provide Level 3 supports (we have a dedicated Level 1 and Level 2 support team who cover great majority of support issues)
- Deep understanding of software design principles
 
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science
- 5 years’ experience in C# programming
- 5 years’ experience in database design and SQL programming
- 3 years’ Excel/VBA development

Preferred Qualifications:
- C# windows UI development. WPF, DevExpress, MVVM framework.
- Test driven methodology. Dependency injection framework.
- VBA development experience with user defined functions, macros, forms, ADO/Recordset handing
- Experience with Agile/Scrum software methodologies
- Familiarity with multi-tiered / service oriented architectures
- Experienced in full project development lifecycle
- Experience of financial markets; Fixed Income knowledge of bond, swap pricing and P&L calculation
- Unix/Linux command line and shell scripting
- Knowledge of distributed messaging technology
- Prior experience in FI Securities trading application, risk management, P&L.
