Global Philanthropy seeks a candidate to fill the role of Philanthropy Associate for Governance and Reporting. The position will be located at the JPMorgan Chase headquarters in New York City. The Associate will join a team of four that supports the Foundation’s internal budget, management and governance processes.

Governance and Reporting Associate Position
Governance and Business Planning responsibilities include:
• Develop presentations for regular meetings of the Foundation’s governance and oversight bodies, and support ongoing record-keeping activities. Responsibilities will include the development of PowerPoint presentations for the Public Responsibility Committee, Global Philanthropy Operating Committee, the Global Philanthropy Governance and Investment Committees, and the Head of Corporate Responsibility.
• Working closely with Relationship Managers, review and submit proposals for large grants over $250,000 to the Foundation Board, which is comprised of senior leaders including Operating Committee members.
• Lead preparations for the Foundation’s annual strategic portfolio review, where teams across the globe present strategic philanthropic priorities for the upcoming year. The associate will develop timelines and templates to facilitate the review, help global teams to analyze lessons learned from prior year, and support the dissemination of key outcomes and lessons learned after the review.
Reporting responsibilities include:
• Support creation of meaningful, high quality analytics, business intelligence, reporting and management presentations in support of management teams. Generate weekly charitable contribution spend reports and communicate results to stakeholders.
Other duties to include:
• Manage the Global Philanthropy SharePoint site, which serves as the primary internal communications website for the Foundation, and identify opportunities to enhance utilization of the site.
• Maintain Global Philanthropy’s communications collateral, including the MarketFacts platform and support development of ad-hoc communications materials as needed.
• Develop agendas for weekly meetings with regional executives globally and monthly calls with all Global Philanthropy employees.
• Coordinate Global Philanthropy memberships in local, regional and national grantmaker associations, in collaboration with Global Philanthropy colleagues.
• Lead short-and-long term projects to support the Foundation’s overall grantmaking goals.
The Associate position requires a minimum of 2-4 years professional experience. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, detail-oriented, possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, and can juggle multiple tasks.
• Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills;
• Demonstrated experience working with many teams;
• Strong computer skills and attention to detail;
• Interest in the nonprofit and philanthropic sector;
• Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative, to prioritize and accurately complete multiple tasks, and to work under deadlines and changing priorities;
• Experience and/or inclination to work in a team-oriented environment;
• Bachelor’s degree required.
