Role Summary:
 
J.P Morgan is in the process of consolidating to SAP General Ledger platform across APAC Region from existing Oracle General Ledger. Australia is the pilot location with the project kicking off in Q3 2016. The location finance team will play a key role in ensuring a successful migration.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
Partnering with the various teams including Projects, Technology, Operations to ensure:
  • Functionalities of the existing ledger are replicated on to SAP including Reference data, Product system feeds etc.
  • Accuracy of location financials on SAP ledger
  • Smooth transition of month end close process on to SAP
  • Correctness of data in Regulatory reporting systems for local reporting post migration
  • Regular communications with GL users to ensure existing processes are adapted
  • Regular communications with management including updates on progress
  • Ad-hoc assistance to Branch LEC, Group controller and SFO
Key Skills/Competencies Required:
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Proactive approach is required to ensure timely resolution of issues and implementation of system and procedural improvements
  • Good understanding of the Oracle General Ledger and existing reference data set up
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities
  • Good analytical skills with an eye for detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Superior interpersonal skills
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
