The US Private Bank Discretionary Account Controls Team is a first line of defense control group that works in partnership with the business to work on immediate, real time critical control issue detection, escalation, root cause analysis and remediation. The team provides ongoing support and guidance to Investors and Trust Officers in the U. S. Private Bank. In addition, the team works in collaboration with other Wealth Management control functions – Compliance, Risk Management, Internal Audit, and Legal.


The Team is looking for an analyst to join the team in Chicago to support in a variety of areas.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Producing high quality weekly / monthly and periodic required reporting, and other one off reporting and presentation materials as necessary.
  • Assist in the design, implementation and testing of our Regulation 9 post-trade monitoring system.
  • Liaising with Investors across the U. S. Private Bank to assist with risk management issues, and responsible for reviewing and approving daily requests in the workflow queue.
  • Liaising with other Controls Management teams and cross-functional project groups globally on specific data asks, projects and control initiatives. Assist in gathering data for internal audits and external regulatory reviews.
  • Work on special projects across the broader Wealth Management Discretionary Controls team as needed

We are looking for:

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, including the ability to manage multiple asks to tight deadlines and re-prioritize as required
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong communication skills: the role will involve communicating with employees of varying levels, with diverse roles and responsibilities
  • Professional attitude; the ability to work in a collaborative environment and handle confidential data
  • An individual who is motivated by the control environment and has an interest in learning about governance, regulation and risk management
  • A strong interest in financial markets and products
  • BA/BS degree required
