Chase Consumer & Community Banking serves nearly 66 million consumers and 4 million small businesses with a broad range of financial services through our 137,000 employees.  Consumer & Community Banking Risk Management partners with each CCB sub-line of business to identify, assess, prioritize and remediate risk. Our Risk Management professionals work directly with Consumer Banking, Business Banking, Auto/Student Loan, Card and Commerce Services, Chase Wealth Management and Mortgage Banking to minimize, monitor and control the probability of risk events and mitigate the impact of risk events that do occur.

The Credit Risk Manager/Leader is responsible for managing risk strategy & policies, developing and maintaining MIS reports and other process standards and performing complex activities related to improving collections performance. The candidate will be responsibility for managing collections for cards & (or) overdraft portfolio, making decisions & recommendation based on risk-return analysis, directly manage business partner relationship for self and junior team members with stateside partners within risk and also with operations. The role would involve project management responsibilities, responsibility for mentoring & coaching junior team members, thought leadership to projects execute within.

 

Requirements

  •  Partner with cross-functional teams to drive business innovation & new business development initiatives. 
  • Demonstrate thorough understanding collections process. You will lead coordination of cross-functional teams across multiple disciplines to assure compliance with objectives on high complexity initiatives.
  • Understand business direction, structure, business trends, operating environment changes.
  • You will be responsible for the quality of the assigned processes as well as the development and implementation of the strategic initiatives to improve the process and any cross-impact department functions with senior management support.

 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline from Tier 1 institute; Math, Finance, Statistics, Economics or equivalent work/training is required; advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of related analytical experience
  • In depth knowledge of credit risk capabilities, metrics, and strategy
  • Strong analytical, technical and statistical skills.  Ability to synthesize / analyze diverse information, develops recommendations, and makes decisions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to interact with individuals across departments / functions and with senior-level individuals
  • Proven record in problem solving and business innovation
  • Project Management Skills -- well-organized, structured approach. Ability to manage and prioritize projects across cross-functional groups
  • Ability to achieve tight timelines on complex deliverables 
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of financial services
  • Strong knowledge of SAS, SQL, Excel and other analytic tools required
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products
