Business Description
 
Client Onbarding (COB) team is part of the Operations Control department that provides governance, support and oversight on Tokyo CIB Operations teams to mitigate operational risks.  By working closely with the Sales and Marketers, Operations teams and other internal control departments, COB ensures various laws, regulations, and firm standards are met at the time of onboarding Japan clients to trade wide range of financial instruments both security and banking entity offer.
 
We are looking for energetic associate, who is eager to learn global Know-Your-Client (KYC) process that global investment banking performs, through reading policies, comprehending and executing policy to the day to day business.  JPMorgan offers wide range of products globally, thus exposure not only to Japanese laws and regulations, but also gives exposure to G7 countries as well as Emerging markets globally. 
 
Key responsibilities:
  • Collecting and verifying client documentation that is required under laws, regulation, global policy and Japan local guidelines and put them into practice
  • Handling of client documentation
  • Reference data maintenance
  • Work closely with Business partners, Technology, Operations, Compliance to complete KYC
  • Act as liaison between Japan and global COB team to complete onboarding of Japan clients
Qualifications 
  • Tertiary qualified
  • 3+ years experience in financial services (Specifically, control departments, middle office, back office)
  • Business level English capability, strong reading and writing in Japanese
Preferred Skills /Experience
  • JSDA Internal Administrator, JSDA 1st and 2nd Class
  • Experience in a Client OnBoarding area or the relevant operations function
