The Process Engineering Lead will support the oversight and control function in Merchant Services by analyzing its operational processes and documenting their current state while identifying its key process controls.
Additionally; Through the use of process maps and process narratives, this position will develop a blueprint that will serve as the basis for process simplification and the development of a world-class experience for clients, customers, and employees.
 
 
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Partner with Oversight & Control and support the Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) program by mapping out processes using Flowcharting and Business Process Mnemonics & Notation (BPMN) techniques in iGrafx. Help facilitate the risk management conversation by identifying risks, their alignment with process controls, and the identification of gaps using a Risk Control Change matrix.
  • Partner with business leaders to analyze key processes using value stream mapping, lean manufacturing, and/or six sigma tools to identify opportunities to enhance the client, end-user, and employee experience.
  • Co-lead process improvement projects and business simplification initiatives from idea generation to implementation, providing a “concierge service” to the business and helping it navigate through the change readiness, technology development, user acceptance, training, validation, and other implementation processes established by Merchant Services.
  • Manage special projects, ad-hoc process mapping, and reporting requests.
  • Provide consulting services for process and business systems improvements and implementation, data integration, metadata management, and user interface design.
Qualifications:
 
  • A Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Math, Finance, Business, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, Information Science or equivalent experience.
  • Five or more years of experience leading cross-functional, multifunctional, and remotely located teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis, and project management.
  • Knowledge of key financial and operational metrics.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in transactional process analysis
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel, Visio, Project and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to focus on the details and to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical teams
 
Desired Qualifications:
 
  • A Master's degree in Math, Finance, Business, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or Information Science.
  • Experience in the Financial Industry.
  • Certifications: Six Sigma Black Belt/Master Black Belt, Lean Manufacturing, Project Management Professional (PMP), and/or Certified Risk Management (CRM).
  • Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) best practices and methodologies, including Agile, Fastworks, or Design Thinking.
  • Experience with iGrafx, process simulation, and/or Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN 2.0)
