Technology Controls

Technology Controls (TC) delivers streamlined and consistent solutions supporting JPMorgan Chase’s Controls and IT Risk agendas with a focus on risk reduction, stability, security, delivery, resiliency and efficiencies. TC’s focus on standardization, consistency and simplicity fosters long-term productivity, quality and innovation across JPMorgan Chase. The disciplines within this organization are Oversight & Controls Technology, Cloud Controls, Identity & Access Management, IT Risk & Controls, and Third Party Risk Management. 

 

Global Identity & Access Management 

Global Identity and Access Management provides identity and access management solutions for the firm's infrastructure and applications. The team ensures that appropriate access controls are in place and applied effectively and continuously.  

 

As a Technology Controls - Application Onboarding Analyst you will have full end-to-end responsibility for onboarding applications into the Enterprise Access Administration (EAA) environment.  You will be expected to proactively engage LOB stakeholders, collaborate with EAA Application Operations Managers and Security Administration SME’s, and ensure all on-boarded applications comply with all risk standards. Partner with internal and LOB Project Managers on implementation of security related projects for new and enhanced technology. Identify, define and implement continuous process improvements utilizing various tools and methodologies.  Manage operational risk and ensure compliance to all internal and external policies and regulations.

 

Day to day responsibilities will include: 

  • Ensuring Service Level Agreements are satisfied.
  • Providing root-cause analysis and process improvement recommendations when service levels are not met.
  • Service delivery and performance of the team as it relates to on-boarding, off-boarding and maintenance of access entitlements. 
  • Partnering with other functional areas to ensure seamless delivery to customers, including coordination with cross functional or operational resources. 
  • Utilizing existing business intelligence metrics and management reporting.
  • Implementation of strategic initiatives related to new or enhanced security products and toolsets on supported platforms.
  • Assessing recommended procedural changes to enhance the functionality of the operations team. 
  • Identifying opportunities to automate or streamline current processes.
  • Coordinating with global peers across internal and LOB departments, focusing on driving efficiency and service delivery improvements.
  • Ensuring appropriate control environment is developed and maintained. 
  • Ensuring successful implementation of action plans to address risk and control issues.
  • Support site specific audit activities. 
  • Promoting security awareness across the firm on an on-going basis.
  • Developing and maintaining good relationships with business partners. 
  • Ensuring communication is customer focused and professional; responsible for local communications. 
  • Monitoring and ensuring client satisfaction. 

Qualifications 

  • 1-3 + years of professional Information Technology or Risk Management experience preferred
  • Prior audit experience is preferred
  • Familiarity with Risk management framework and control self assessment process
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • Understanding of key controls and how they impact the business from an operational or systems perspective
  • Experience executing reviews to identify process and control gaps and identify the root cause of issues to ensure appropriate controls are enhanced or implemented to prevent reoccurrence
  • Experience with operational risk analysis, process improvement, end-to-end process reviews and process flow mapping
  • Sound strategic thinking, research, analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to effectively influence peers and business partners to achieve objectives
  • Foster partnerships with will all stakeholders to contribute to the firm’s success
  • Is articulate and composed when delivering difficult messages to stakeholders
  • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • High level of professionalism, self-motivation and sense of urgency
  • Ability to prioritize and execute on multiple, simultaneous, complex priorities
  • Good organizational skills & planning ability
  • Results orientated without compromising control
