J.P. Morgan Asset Management, Real Estate Asia Pacific creates value for our clients through the selective acquisition and aggressive asset management of real properties and joint ventures in the private real estate markets.
Reporting to the Head of Japan and Vice President, Asset Management for Japan Real Estate, the Investment Analyst will be responsible for supporting the real estate acquisitions and asset management investment function through detailed financial analyses, underwriting and modeling of investments, analyzing due diligence information, and performing research on markets, companies, industries, etc. 
Responsibilities include:
  • Financial modeling, underwriting, and valuation of real estate investments (new opportunities and existing projects) to support acquisition, asset management, and divestment activities
  • Analysis of market and demographic studies
  • Assist in drafting of investment memorandums for both internal investment committee and external client presentations
  • Assist in quarterly reporting for both internal and external client needs, including quarterly reports, valuations, webcasts, business plans, budgets, etc.
  • Actively participate in due diligence of approved deals including lease review and analysis of third party audit, engineering and environmental reports, debt and financing arrangements
  • Actively participate in documentation and execution of approved deals
  • Support client activities by preparing presentations
  • Outstanding academic credentials
  • 2 to 3 years of work experience in real estate / investment industry (preferably real estate investment)
  • Proficiency in Financial modeling skills is a must
  • Strong work ethics and integrity, a team player who is pro-active and motivated
  • Strong analytical, communication and writing skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously under time pressures
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Full fluency in both English and Japanese
  • International experience or education is a plus
