As part of CCB Data EcoSystem cassandra as a service to support consumer ODS platform, Hive and  HBASE. We are looking for experienced platforms engineered with a good capacity forecast, utilization view and ensure sound physical design is in place  and in line with consumption pattern of data. Experienced with information protection solutions are in place – access control/roles/grants etc. Engineered with Business Continuity as needed – back up/recovery solutions.

Engineered with sound resiliency/recovery capabilities – HA/DR/SR. Onboarding/off boarding of users/apps etc.

This role is responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining Cassandra database in support of high volume, complex data transactions for specific services or groups of services.

-Review the logical and Physical design model and provide directions with partition key, cluster key and other design parameters.

-Cassandra Systems integration, including design and development of APIs, Adapters, and Connectors.

-Cassandra Integration with Hadoop/HDFS, Real-Time Systems, Data Warehouses, and Analytics solutions.

-Document systems design ‘best practices’ guidelines to support across CCB technology.


Desired Skills:

•3+ years working with Open Source Java frameworks (Spring, Hibernate, Mule ESB, Jersey or similar).

•Experience with Test Driven Development utilizing test data, jUnit and Mockito

•Any applied experience with big data technologies such as HDFS, Impala, Hive, Spark, Spark Streaming, Kafka, Ooozie, Cassandra, Elastic Search, HBase would be a plus.

•SQL and RDBMS experience

•Unix Shell Scripting, Perl, Scala, and/or Python is a plus.

•Experience with Metadata management is a plus.
