The Data Ecosystem Project Delivery Office is looking for a Business Analyst Lead. This portfolio supports the Data Ecosystem including Hadoop, Integrated Consumer Data Warehouse (ICDW) and Consumer Data Hub (Info1) data warehouses.  This individual will manage and direct overall team activities and monitor progress, including project health, capacity planning, developing and mentoring staff and internal process improvement activity. The role consists of 3 focus areas: People Management, Portfolio Management and Project Execution
 
Responsibilities:
  • Lead analysts who are the primary point of contact between the technical teams - Architecture, Development and Test - and our key partners - Design and Product Management.
  • Partner with the Product Owners in building strategic vision for the product and create an execution approach towards that vision
  • Work with our technology and business partners to develop and refine our software delivery process.
  • Translate business and design requirements into technical requirements for multiple Development teams - back end service developers, framework developers, Business Intelligence developers and UI developers.
  • Perform critical analysis on information consolidated from multiple sources, identify and resolve conflicts, and break down high-level information into detailed workable requirements.
  • Work with Developers and Subject Matter Experts to understand the work effort for a requirement, communicate any compromises or risks to the Designers and Product Managers, and, if needed, facilitate making adjustments that satisfy all parties.
  • Actively participate in adding to the wiki that is living documentation of the latest business and technical requirements.
  • Act as a back up scrum master and expand to that role as project demands
  • Work with the project manager, product owner to define project prioritization along road maps, provide or facilitate scoping/estimation, and manage demand intake
  • Partner with product owners to maintain user guide, training manuals and release notes
  • Take ownership of the product functional and non functional requirements
  •  Facilitate implementation of new functionality through training sessions and demos to the business and technical community
 
Qualifications
 
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience as a Business Systems Analyst, System Analyst, or Technical Analyst, with heavy emphasis on technology and implementation understanding.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills are critical since this job primarily entails communicating technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience managing or leading a team of Business System Analysts or other contributors on a software delivery project.
  • Prior experience with UI based tool a must
  • Experience working with software or web technology teams.
  • Experience with software development methodologies and practices (SDLC, Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.)
  • General knowledge of financial services concepts and products.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage relationships with a variety of partners and stakeholders.
  • Strong PC skills including thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Visio
  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Agile development
  • Basic computer programming skills.
 
 
Nice to haves
 
  • Experience with SQL( Ability to perform data analysis or profiling)
  • Experience working and defining configuration requirements on a vendor product
