J.P. Morgan’s "Information Technology" Military Veteran Internship Program

 J.P. Morgan’s Information Technology Military Veteran Internship Program (U.S.) is a national initiative, supporting the transition of military personnel and veterans into the Information Technology, financial services and corporate sector. Military values complement J.P. Morgan’s business principles - dedication, determination and service; the program allows interns to demonstrate these while cultivating new skills and gaining tangible experience and exposure to the industry. J.P. Morgan is committed to helping those who serve and the internship program is just one of the many ways we’re achieving this.

During the 12-week Paid internship, participants will join a specified group and work on multiple technology projects.  In addition, they will be exposed to various areas of the bank and given the chance to build their network. 

 Participants will be able to:

  • Gain firsthand experience and exposure to technology roles in financial services careers
  • Learn new technical skills and how to apply prior experience to a corporate environment
  • Demonstrate their skills and abilities to hiring managers
  • Expand their professional network

Program structure:

  • 12-week paid internship
  • Internships will be in select U.S. cities
  • Internships can convert to a full time position
  • Organized orientation and training
  • Networking and information sessions with senior leaders
  • Business and peer mentoring
  • Structured performance review

Basic eligibility criteria:

At a minimum, all applicants must have:

    • A recent BA/BS degree in an Information Technology or Computer Science or related degree.
    • Minimum 3.2 GPA
    • Must be a US Military Veteran
    • Demonstrated top performance throughout military career
    • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
    • Demonstrated interest in Technology  Financial services and corporate workplace
    • Aptitude to quickly grasp and perform quantitative and qualitative tasks
    • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
    • Commitment to the full duration of the program: 12-week internship and training and development events
    • Locations: DE: Newark and Wilmington, IL: Chicago, NY, Brooklyn and Manhattan, OH: Columbus, TX; Dallas and Houston, FL- Tampa

  •  Interview and selection period: October 16, 2017– December 22, 2017
  • Internship start date: March 12, 2018
  • Internships will be in selected U.S Cities
