Chase Consumer & Community Banking – Digital technology is looking to fill a key role for a Scrum Demand Manager/Project Manager. We are looking for an experienced agile project manager focused on scrum demand management. The ideal candidate will be someone who takes ownership of managing the demand and capacity of several scrum teams working on large scale, multi-release projects. As we are in a period of high growth within the firm’s technology base, this position is expected to operate with a very high level of energy and with a sense of urgency. Our teams are involved in a wide range of project types: platform enhancements, new product launches, controls and risk response, etc. and therefore in our dual role as scrum project managers, we must be technical enough to understand the scope, facilitate cross-functional team discussions and unblock blockers.
This Project Manager will be responsible for:
Working with development leads to determine capacity/demand for up to 5 scrum teams and manage scope assessment and slotting into teams, sprints and releases
Working with organizational leadership and teams to adopt new agile planning (e.g. implementation and use of Portfolio for JIRA) as the digital teams move to the next generation of agile practice
Supporting/facilitating scope discussions & requirements refinement discussions as needed for complex projects involving the Architecture, design authorities, dev, and business analysts
Identifying, escalating, and removing team impediments that jeopardize team delivery goals
Auditing daily team/story metrics to maintain high quality of delivery
Facilitating sprint demos with key stakeholders across technology
Acting as a mediator and facilitating discussion for conflict resolution
Participating proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practice
10+ years of professional experience as an project manager or similar role, preferably for 5+ years in an Agile environment
Active working knowledge and experience using Atlassian tools is a must (JIRA and Confluence, with JIRA Portfolio as a plus)
Successful, hands-on track record of Agile project delivery
Experience with executive level communications, verbal and written
Experience interacting with all levels (horizontal and vertical) of leadership
Ability to be flexible, nimble and to successfully juggle multiple changing priorities
Experience using JIRA, MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio
Must be able to garner respect from individuals/teams and be willing to get into the details to build consensus and unblock blockers
Ability to recognize differences and issues as they arise, coach the team to resolve internally and if necessary involve management
