The Sr. Technology Project Manager role is within GWM Credit & Mortgage Lending Technology team and is based out of Jersey City, NJ. This role requires deep understanding of principles of information systems for products and services of all kinds, sizes, shapes and contexts. The individual has to be hands-on with pulse on the new technology. Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to managing the development and implementation of application software within Global Wealth Management/Private Banking business; Work with established technical specifications to develop and deliver high quality functionality; Work effectively as a member of a team, communicate and interact effectively with other Project managers, Business Analysts, Developers, Tech leads, Technical operations and users.



Ideal candidate would have extensive experience in application development, business analysis & systems design with SME level knowledge and moved into Program and Project Management space currently leading multi-year initiatives working in a complex cross regional and cross functional environment.



Key Responsibilities:
•Work closely with product management and product development to interview, research, analyze, and derive business, functional and technical requirements.
•Develop an in-depth understanding of the product and underlying data assets and models/methods.
•Define the solution concept design for custom solutions leveraging platform components, reusable modules and existing product capabilities.
•Create logical data models for the solutions.
•Clarify and translate requirements into functional and non-functional specifications, and collaborate in the software development process.
•Assist in resource planning process, make important tradeoff recommendations between functionality, resources and timing.
•Drive the user experience needs of the solution consistent with company standards.
•Lead the design and testing phases, including design and testing of prototypes and orchestration and sign-off on acceptance test results to ensure design integrity.
•Collaborate with stakeholder teams to understand documentation and training needs. Work with the appropriate teams to deliver the needed materials.
•Assist with implementations when needed. Gain an understanding of implementation issues and product improvement opportunities.
•Collaborating across business segments to both find opportunities for and showcase ideas in the Innovation and emerging business pipeline
•Creating business architecture models demonstrating how products, operations and systems interoperate within the organization
•Conduct analysis to determine best path for solving business problems / opportunities that may include process improvement, systems enhancement, user training, and / or software procurement
•Ensure solutions developed across organization are aligned to enterprise architecture standards and principles, leverage common solutions and services, and meet financial targets (cost and benefits)
•Provides overall direction, guidance and definition of business architecture to effectively support business strategy
•Apply and utilize business modeling methods to ensure results oriented deliverables in a way that can be recreated and used as a corporate knowledge resource available to project level initiatives and executive decision making
•Acts as a subject matter expert in the development of business solutions modeling, design, and methodology
•Evaluate and present information that will facilitate effective and timely decision - making through written and oral communication materials that effectively summarize findings with recommendations
•Partners with solutions architecture teams in developing an framework that aligns with the business plan
•Leads the effort to work with business leaders to identify business capability needs and prioritization
•Leads the effort to identify and document capability and initiative needs and strategic prioritization into business architecture deliverables (roadmaps etc)
•Provide architectural oversight of projects; ensure requirements are in alignment with business strategies and business architecture roadmap / framework
•Conducts Impact Assessments with business and technical teams input to determine appropriate project resourcing and timing
•May assist other business architects and SMEs to ensure collaboration across the team
•Create & manage project plans, iteration plans for mid-size to large-size projects which involves task estimations, resource estimations & work break-down structure.
•Identifies project level risks and works with the project teams to identify & implement the mitigation strategies for the projects.
•Manages the conflict and works with the project team to resolve various interpersonal conflicts.
•Tracks the project budget and produces status reports on the project budgets and variances arising within the budgets.
•Tracks the project schedule and works with the team on daily & weekly basis to track the task progress, milestones and produces relevant status reports to the stakeholders.

•4 Years Bachelor’s degree or Master's degree in computer science, information sciences or related field
•Financial Industry experience is mandatory.
•PMP/CSM/PMI-ACP/SIX SIGMA certifications are highly desired.
•10+ years experience as Technology Project / Program Manager leading large scale & complex technology heavy projects.
•5+ years experience as Sr. Systems Analyst or Lead Business Analyst.
•4+ years experience working as software developer or experience related to core software development.
•4+ years experience directly leading local scrum teams of 4 to 6 members.
•4+ years in being a Subject Matter Expert in any of the areas in the financial industry.
•Experience in large scale program implementation skills including project planning, risk management, budget/schedule tracking and reporting.
•Broad, enterprise - wide view of the business and appreciation for strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance
•Proven ability to recognize issues and opportunities within the business domains, functional interdependencies and cross-silo
•Demonstrated ability to apply architectural principles, methods, and tools to business challenges
•Broad understanding of technology and how it's used to drive business growth and / or efficiencies
•Ability to build client relationships and collaborate with internal and external clients
•Ability to solve problems with innovative ideas to affect change in business strategy and operations as a result
•Solid communication skills
•Solid experience in Project Risk Management.
•Experience in developing projects plans, roadmaps, status reports.
•Experience in working Sr. Management and Sr. Stakeholders.
•Experience in Stakeholder Management.
•Ability to quickly understand and assess a client's current business architecture / operating model
