Job Description

The individual in this position reports to the Business Banking Product Director for Lending Products and manages Business Banking Loans.

  • Includes products such as Commercial Mortgages, Commercial Term Loans and Letters of Credit
  • Key partner in ensuring policy, procedures, and operational controls associated with assigned products are complied with and reported on accordingly.
  • Implements strategies and tactics designed to increase Business Banking Loan Balance growth and Fee Revenue growth
  • Lead efforts on product improvements, simplification and new product development
  • Supports Lending Products team for promotions and offers for all lending products, in conjunction with other lending product managers, other product groups (as necessary) and other LOBs (as necessary)
  • This person regularly consults with management and partners with professionals in other Consumer and Business Banking functional areas of the firm to drive initiatives relating to the lending portfolio.
 

The individual must also develop and maintain strong partnerships and programs with the following key partners and teams:

  • Regional Sales teams and Sales Support group
  • Underwriting, Document Preparation and Loan Servicing
  • Business Banking Finance and Loan Pricing Group
  • Business Controls, Audit and AML groups
  • Marketing, Legal, Strategy, IT and other functions
 
Job Duties
  • Develop, maintain and enhance loan/mortgage/letters of credit product roadmaps enabling Chase for Business to be the easiest bank to do business with in the lending space.
  • Execute on the loans, mortgages and letters of credit product roadmap in support of financial and business goals
  • Understand key competitors’ services/fees and monitoring changes and new developments
  • Be the key subject matter resource for the loan/mortgage/letters of credit product portfolio

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years of general banking experience and at least 2 of those years in Product Management preferred
  • Project management experience
  • Knowledge of Commercial Loans, Mortgages and Letters of Credit preferred
  • Successful candidate will demonstrate end-to-end product management with a goal of optimizing product performance and process efficiency with a client first mentality.
  • Ability to think strategically, problem solve, create compelling business cases, build consensus with management team, and work across functions to implement projects. 
  • Ability to quickly gain an understanding of Business Banking and its priorities while working in a matrixed environment. 
  • Must have knowledge of the financial services industry and operations, sales, products, and current regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct financial analysis
  • Experience working with data-driven decision making using data from large warehouses.;
  • Ability to self-manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Strong verbal, written and executive communication skills with the ability to present to management as well as peers and subordinates
  • Advanced level of Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
