Vendor Management Director-Credit Card & Auto Recovery

 

The Executive Director of Vendor Management will be responsible for setting and leading the strategic direction for the Recovery Vendor Network. This role requires strong communication skills, outstanding leadership skills, a focus on improving the customer experience, and a relentless concentration on business controls.

 

The successful candidate will have direct and indirect supervision of at least fifteen people with responsibility for eight Collection and Recovery vendors. We’re looking for creative leaders who can drive change and improve results while maintaining compliance with all Federal and State requirements as well as all internal policies and procedures. This position will collaborate with many areas within Chase such as Compliance, Risk, Legal, Finance, Third Party Oversight (TPO), and Oversight and Controls. This position is a cross line of business position responsible for Card and Auto.

 

You will be part of a team with a direct impact on well over one million Chase customers and direct contribution to Chase results in three domains:  delivering financial results, ensuring a quality customer experience, and maintaining an effective controls environment as we provide payment solutions to Chase customers. 

 

Your analytical skills will drive financial results through execution of revenue enhancement strategies, while monitoring the operational results for our vendor network.  Using existing reporting, you’ll drive analytic development on the team.  Your business knowledge will improve the data environment by understanding relevant business processes at Chase and our vendors, and focusing your team on key metrics that drives performance and decreases risk.  

 

Your communication skills will convey our priorities to the team and to our vendor network.  You will determine appropriate strategies to maximize performance and be responsible for executing those strategies to obtain desired results. You will present initiatives and results to senior management.  Leveraging available data, you’ll recommend new ways to measure and improve the business in all of these domains. 

 

 

Qualifications

  • Prefer risk management/oversight and controls experience
  • Prefer 10+ years of People Management experience
  • Requires 15+ years of business operations experience, working in a matrixed structure
  • A background in banking and collections is required
  • Analytic mindset, with the ability to present information in a clear, creative, and persuasive manner, in written and verbal contexts
  • Exposure to large-scale data analytics projects, involving both financial and behavioral metrics
  • Demonstrated ability to positively interact with other departments, units, managers and colleagues to achieve specific business results.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong communication skills, an understanding of business processes, and being a quick learner are essential. 
  • Master’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Travel time required approximately 15% of the time
