The Chief Investment Office (CIO) manages the structural Interest Rate Risk of JPM Chase across a wide range of asset classes, with the main hubs being located in London, New York and Hong Kong.
Global Treasury is responsible for the Funding and Liquidity risk management of the organization worldwide. EMEA activity extends over 20 different legal entities and 50+ currencies and markets. The Treasury business has many day to day interactions with LOB's and other corporate groups to provide a clear and detailed understanding of Treasury requirements around liquidity and funding risk on any new initiatives.
Role Description and Key Responsibilities:
As a member of the CIO/Treasury Middle Office dealing with Interest Rates, FX, Money Markets, Financing trades , you will be responsible for managing a number of processes, from liaising with Front Office, Back Office & Finance, ensuring correct trade flow, linking in with technology developments, maintaining, reviewing and driving development of the control environment.
Responsibilities include oversight of operational processes and controls, through the transaction life cycle, as well as daily transaction reporting metrics and weekly/monthly KPI reporting to senior management in all locations.
Additionally the team contributes to a wider LOB book of work that is driven by regulatory change, liquidity & transaction reporting requirements as well as changes in market practice.
3 years Middle Office/Trade Support experience desired
Experience working directly supporting a trading desk is ideal
Cross product knowledge desired (Particularly FX and ideally MM, IRS and Bonds)
Strong experience within a controls and operational risk management environment
Able to work under pressure and multi task
Strong literacy skills
Able to present to senior management
Ideal candidates will be well versed in some/all of the following Reuters, Anvil, Markitwire, and Bloomberg.
The Trade Support role requires, and nurtures, an extensive end to end knowledge of multiple process and system flows from trade execution to regulatory reporting.
Candidates will work with, and gain exposure to, Team Leaders and Senior Managers, in various locations, as part of their involvement in global projects. Additionally candidates will interact with teams in other lines of business as part of Regulatory driven change.
Stretch Initiatives will allow candidates to drive change on a global and strategic level across the firm.
The role allows the candidate to develop an in depth knowledge of FX, Money Market, Interest Rate Swaps and Financing Trades as well as an understanding of how these tools are used to manage Risk and Fund the bank.
The role also provides a good insight and exposure to, the interconnectedness of the bank and its affiliates and how the regulatory environment drives change within the Banking industry.
