We are seeking a Vice President of Finance responsible for financial management, planning and results analysis, and business support of our Commerce Solutions U.S. segment.

 

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, equally adept at detailed financial reporting/analysis and broad “out of box” strategic thinking (former consulting, investment banking, or payments industry experience is a major plus). The role is a hybrid of strategy, business analysis, and financial management/budgeting/planning – and will require outstanding partnership from the candidate to be successful. This role is highly cross-functional - working across Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Data Management, Business Development, Risk, among other groups within the firm.

 

The position resides within the overall Finance organization for the Commerce Solutions Line of Business. Projects will be informed through proactive analysis, in partnership with cross-functional team members. Deliverables will be in the form of reports, prepared analytics with recommendations, as well as day-to-day budgeting/reporting/forecasting functions for Commerce Solutions.

 

Prior experience in card / payments industry is a major plus. Ability to synthesize and structure data to tell the story is important along with natural intellectual curiosity and a problem-solving mindset. Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is required.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute and lead in the end-to-end budget/forecast process for Commerce Solutions, working closely with the business and other centralized functions
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure results are aligned with financial budgets/targets and business strategy
  • Become a subject-matter expert on the merchant acquiring industry, including financial / economics, guiding overall arching strategy, and business case development
  • Partner closely with Commerce Solution leaders and their teams through engaging in consultative strategic / financial analysis projects that provide insights into portfolio, product, and customer behavior
  • Prepare senior management presentations for finance and business leadership to communicate financial performance and help drive strategy

Build and foster strong partnerships across key functional business teams and other lines of business

  • Bachelor Degree, with Masters a plus
  • Excellent thought leadership, strategic business acumen, and intellectual curiosity
  • Attention to detail and capable to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong partnership mindset in working cross-functionally to create efficiencies and develop solutions to business problems
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal; ability to tailor messaging and communicate effectively across all levels of management
