The Legal Department has a number of key operations to meet obligations to various regulatory oversight and investigative bodies as necessary.  Within the Legal Department, the Office of the Secretary (“OTS”) partners with senior management, control groups, lines of business and corporate units to promote effective governance of the Firm, its branches, subsidiaries and affiliates. OTS also works closely with the Firm’s Board of Directors and is responsible for the coordination of Board meetings and materials.  
 
The Regulatory Legal Entity Management Vice President will partner directly with attorney’s, Primary Legal and Corporate Governance Contacts, senior level management, and OTS’ data management team to ensure legal entity and fund data characteristics are accurate within the firms legal entity management system.
 
 Duties include, but are not limited to:
 
  • Complete understanding of firm wide policies where OTS has advisory and/or governance oversight
  • Knowledge of legal entity and fund data characteristics as required by Delaware State law, Regulation W, FRY-6 and Y-10 reporting
  • Ability to review and analyze data to identify inaccuracies
  • Ensuring the integrity of critical data elements owned by OTS within the legal entity management system
  • Partner with key stakeholders and Mumbai data management team in data corrections, quality reviews and data attestations
  • Review and approve documented exceptions as identified by the data management team
  • Assist in the build out of  QA /QC  procedures and metrics
  • Escalate material concerns
  • Continuously identify additional areas of process improvements
  • Define how technology can increase operational efficiencies
  • Build and foster productive working relationships, including but not limited to OTS colleagues across regions.
Qualification
  • 7-10  years’ experience in Legal Entity data management and Corporate Financial Reporting
  • Strong background in legal entity management and related regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrated leadership
  • Strong analytical, interpretive and problem solving skills.
  • Proficient with technology; strong skills preferred in MS Office (Excel, Access, Word).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred experience: 

  • Experience with Legal Entity data management and related Regulatory reporting
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business/legal field
