Position Overview
The Sales Desktop team within Markets Execution focuses on delivering the next-gen digital ecosystem to the global Markets and Investor Services sales force.  The Sales Desktop business analyst will help to shape the product and deliver on the vision.  This involves partnering with product managers, technology teams, and salespeople to design the future sales technology platform across systems and disciplines (order management, client relationship management, post-trade, revenue analytics.)

Key Roles and Responsibilities
  • Collect and document user requirements from salespeople and research analysts in formal and informal settings.
  • Analyze existing capabilities of sales toolsets and identify priority gaps and opportunities.
  • Produce requirements documentation that translates business requirements into functional specification for technology teams.
  • Work closely with UX (user experience) on design of new features and components.
  • Act as liaison between business users and Client Intelligence technology teams.
  • Conduct SIT and UAT testing ahead of application releases. 
Candidates should have at least 5 years prior experience as a Business Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, IT Consultant, Product/Project Manager, or related occupation. Structured problem solving abilities with superior communication skills is required. Experience working with Sales & Trading organizations and developing toolset strategies for the front office is a plus.   The successful candidate should also possess the following attributes:
  • Ability to support the team with business analysis, requirements and metrics.
  • Passion for product development, new technology and analytical & structured approach
  • Commercially focused and entrepreneurial mind-set
  • Strong attention to detail and able to work independently
  • Experience working on a trading floor and interacting with sales & trading
  • Financial markets knowledge, spanning both Equity and FICC products
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to translate complex business problems and solutions into easily consumable content
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical problem solving skills – as well as written and verbal communication
  • Strong work ethic, self-starter who is creative with a ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Team player comfortable working in a fast-paced consulting-style, unstructured environment
  • Professional maturity, personal integrity, and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to receive and act upon feedback
  • High-level of proficiency in MS-Office products (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio)
  • Familiar with front-end and back-end technology intricacy (HTML, JavaScript's, .NET, WPF, Java J2EE, Oracle, Data Warehouse, SQL)
  • Demonstrated experience with: SQL, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Business, or related field of study
