Legal Entity Controller – Associate – Amsterdam, Netherlands
 
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of the legal entities ‘ general ledger
  • Preparation of the local regulatory reports for the Dutch National Bank
  • Support accounts payable, cost accounting and inter-company transfer pricing process
  • Perform general ledger reconciliation and balance substantiation process
  • Prepare VAT return and assist in the preparation of corporate income tax return
  • Review and oversight of the off – shore India support team for the preparation of the US regulatory reports and other deliverables
  • Participate in month end close process of the financial books and records
  • Assist and serve as a back- up for the Senior Finance Officer
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects
Skills and Experience
 
  • A bachelor or master degree in accounting or finance is preferable
  • Part qualified / qualified professional qualification ACA / ACCA / RA / CPA (or equivalent) is preferable
  • Good verbal and writing skills in both Dutch and English to deal with all levels of management (preferably Dutch native language)
  • Working experience in accounting, controlling or auditing in a large and complex international organization is preferable (ex. Big 4 accounting firm)
  • Technical / data management skills with experience in using automated accounting systems (ex. SAP) as well as MS office tools (MS Excel)
  • Knowledge and experience in financial services industry is preferable
  • Self starter and independent worker
