Primary Function:
The position is Head of Multi-Asset Investment Research, based in New York.  The Head of Multi-Asset Investment Research will be a member of the Investment & Research Team within Wealth Management Investment Solutions, reporting to the Global Head of Investment Research. The group is responsible for performing due diligence on and collaborating with portfolio management teams within Wealth Management Investment Solutions. These portfolio management teams are responsible for strategic, tactical, and vehicle/security-level decisions across traditional, multi-asset, and alternative asset classes. The Investment & Research Team comprises individuals in New York, London, & Geneva and is highly collaborative across teams and regions.
•Perform investment due diligence on the suite of multi-asset class portfolio management teams within WMIS
•Identify potential process improvements and collaborate with PM teams to enable those improvements
•Collaborate with internal partners in investment solutions, due diligence, risk management, quantitative research, portfolio execution, compliance, and operations
•Effectively communicate findings to senior business leaders
•Monitor markets to understand current drivers and market sentiment at the asset class and sub-asset class level
•Bachelors degree; advanced degree and/or CFA charter holder strongly preferred
•10-15 years relevant work experience
•Direct experience in portfolio management, research generation, or due diligence of multi-asset class portfolios
•Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment on a global team
•Strong understanding of equity, fixed income, commodity and currency market drivers and characteristics
•Strong understanding of multi-asset portfolio construction and risk management
•A doer’s mindset and a strong desire for the team to build a sustainable & repeatable process
